Football South Australia is delighted to announce the August winners for the Bendigo Bank Community Awards.
VOTING FOR THE SEPTEMBER AWARDS OPENS TUESDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER
The awards program will see winners recognised each month within the following categories:
- Volunteer of the Month - VOTING OPENS TUESDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER
- Coach of the Month - VOTING OPENS TUESDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER
- Referee of the Month - VOTING OPENS TUESDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER
- Club of the Month - VOTING OPENS TUESDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER
Specific criteria is available for each award. The following criteria is relevant to all awards and nominees must:
- Hold the relevant accreditation for the level they are coaching/officiating at
- Be registered in Play Football to an affiliated Football SA Club/Association for the current season
- Hold any other accreditations and/or licenses as required by Football SA
- Have not received any current or significant suspensions implemented by Football South Australia.
Monthly winners will formulate the list of nominees for the below annual award categories, to be announced at Football South Australia’s official end of season awards ceremony (full details to be confirmed).
- Volunteer of the Year
- Coach of the Year
- Referee of the Year
- Club of the Year

Coach of the Month | Lucinda Bueti (Sacred Heart Old Collegians)

Lucinda is an inspiration to young female players and is a very passionate and dedicated coach who works across a number of age groups on both club and federation programs.
She is super calm and isn’t fazed by difficult situations and always finding a way to deal with whatever is in front of her. Most importantly she understands the characteristics of the players that she is working with and adapts her delivery to ensure all players have an enjoyable experience.
Volunteer of the Month | Toni Ann Miller (Modbury Jets)

Finding committed volunteers like Toni-Ann is a struggle but she finds time to be part of the executive committee as the sponsorship coordinator and contributes in many ways behind the scenes to help the club achieve its desired outcomes both on and off the field.
Toni-Ann works full time and is a single mum with limited free time, but she always turns up with a smile and an infectious personality to ensure that the football community is looked after in the best possible way. Toni-Ann spends many hours volunteering with her role as sponsorship coordinator along with also cooking the BBQ at every home game and function. Toni Ann will also help with the bar and canteen duties. Modbury Jets is grateful to have such an incredible individual at the club.

Referee Of The Month | Robbie Anderson

Robby is an extremely fair and consistent in all games he officiates. He officiates across both Juniors and Senior competitions and explains decisions and offers advice to the junior players to improve play. He sets a standard at the beginning of the match as he speaks to both players and coaches it shows his integrity.
He speaks with all players and coaches prior to the junior matches to set the standard. For the junior players, it showed his integrity and respect for both the game and the players by addressing them in a professional manner. During junior matches, he explains every decision made calmly and respectfully.
He is an exemplary example of not on a referee but a great person to have around the game.and respect for both the game and the players by addressing them in a professional and respectful manner.
Robby is an exemplary example of referees and a great person to have around the game.
Club of the Month | Flinders Flames Women’s FC

Flinders Flames WFC, has been established since 2000. This club has consistently maintained a strong, empowering, and inclusive environment for females to play football.
The club has a culture that is built on family that supports each other through their success and losses. The club focuses on player mental health, fitness and promotes player pathways. Players are extremely loyal to the flames, and this is demonstrated by their desire to volunteer, support, and adapt with the club as it transitions to the next phase of growing the women’s game. This club is female-centric focused to ensure that girls and women of all ages have the opportunity to play football.
