Football South Australia is the governing body for football in South Australia. We are a large member-based organisation with an official participant base of in excess of 40,000 players across 14 associations, with over 300 clubs statewide.
Football SA is responsible for high performance programs for talented athletes, competition management, the management and performance of ServiceFM Stadium, governance, financial management and strategy for the game in the state.
The Cafe and Catering Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations at Servicefm Stadium. This includes managing game day and coordinating catering for events and ensuring quality and consistency in all food service operations. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Catering and Food Service Operations
- Manage all catering activities, including setup, service, and cleanup.
- Coordinate with vendors, caterers, and partners to ensure high-quality food and beverage offerings.
- Ensure all food and beverage areas are adequately stocked, staffed, and ready to operate smoothly on game days and during events.
Vendor and Supplier Coordination
- Liaise with vendors to source quality food, beverages, and supplies, managing orders and maintaining positive relationships.
- Monitor vendor contracts to ensure compliance with service standards and terms of agreements.
Customer Service
- Lead a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience by providing prompt, courteous, and efficient food service.
- Address customer inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of food preparation and service areas, addressing any health and safety concerns.
- Train staff on food handling, hygiene, and safety practices to maintain a safe environment for all patrons.
Staff Management and Training
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise catering staff for events and games.
- Develop a strong team culture focused on customer service, efficiency, and quality.
Inventory and Financial Management
- Track and manage food and beverage inventory, minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Assist to prepare and monitor budgets for food and catering services, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Event Support
- Coordinate with the Events Manager and other departments to support special events and functions, providing catering solutions tailored to event needs.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down events, ensuring smooth logistics for all food-related activities.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a stadium or event setting.

- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required for events.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate (required)
- Responsible Person Badge (desirable)
- Working with Children’s Check (WWWC) (essential)
- Driver’s Licence (required)
