Fulham United are yet to record a win thus far this season, losing all of their last three games, with their only point coming in their first-round 0-0 draw with fellow strugglers WT Birkalla. Salisbury Inter vs Modbury Vista
8:15 pm | Friday 29 April | State Centre for Football

Salisbury Inter

Salisbury Inter’s title defence has not started as planned, already dropping points on two occasions as they enter Round Five in fifth only winning twice thus far. However, a win for Salisbury Inter could see them jump into the top four, with only three points separating them from Football SA NTC in the first place. Salisbury Inter will be devasted after facing their first defeat of the season after West Adelaide beat them 2-1, however, they regained their winning ways as they beat fourth-place Adelaide University 3-1. After a big win in the WNPL & WSL Cup, spirits will be high in the Salisbury Inter dressing room.

Modbury Vista currently sits at the bottom of the WNPL as the only club to not secure a point in their opening four games. Losing their opening four games, things won’t get any easy this week as they face last season’s champions in Round Five. Modbury Vista hasn’t found any issues scoring goals to start the season, with seven goals scored in just four games, however, there have been numerous defensive issues that have already seen them concede 19. Women’s State League Preview

Wsl

Adelaide Jaguars will look to continue their perfect start to the season as they face Modbury Jets in Friday night action. Adelaide Jaguars remains one of only two clubs in the competition to not drop any points, winning all four matches to start the season. Modbury Jets are looking to improve on what has been a mixed start to the season. Currently sitting in 6th, Modbury Jets have won one and lost two in their opening three games. After losing two in a row, Modbury Jets will hope to return to winning ways.

Unbeaten in their last three, Cove FC are eager to continue their great run of form that has seen them earn a third-place as of Round Four. Currently, with a record of two wins, one draw, and one loss, Cove FC are looking to secure their third win as they face Elizabeth Grove. Elizabeth Grove’s start to the 2022 WSL season has not started very well as they enter Round Five with only one win and two losses. Currently, with the second-worst defensive record in the league with 19 goals conceded, Elizabeth Grove must look to fix these issues as Cove FC is seen to be a strong attacking side.

Flinders United will look to also continue their perfect start to the season in Round Five as they search for their fourth win. Without dropping a point this season, Flinders United have scored 17 goals and only conceded two goals in three games. This great start to the season will be tested against South Adelaide, who currently sit fifth in the league. South Adelaide is without a win since their opening round 12-0 win over Elizabeth Grove and is eager to return to winning ways very soon.

FK Beograd has forfeited their Round Five match with Campbelltown City. While Adelaide Hills has received a bye in Round Four.
