The newly renamed Australia Cup returns to South Australia on Friday the 18th of March as several State League and Amateur teams kick off their cup campaigns.
Elizabeth Downs SC will look to start strongly as they take on Brahma Lodge SC in the first all amateur affair for the season. Followed by state league matchups including, 8th placed Victory facing 10th placed Fulham.
The football continues through on Saturday with 12 fixtures. Commencing at 12.30 pm with a doubleheader at Valo Football Centre.
Rostrevor Old Collegians will seek to upset Modbury Vista as they travel to Newport Stadium. CSL teams, Pembroke Old Scholars and Old Ignatians SC will do their bit as they playoff against State League 2 clubs. Adelaide University Grads Red will take on Eastern United at Steve Woodcock Sports Centre. Parafield Gardens will host Adelaide University Grads Blue with kickoff at 3 pm.
To finish off the afternoon, Mt Barker United will look at continuing their dominance as they host Adelaide Titans from 5.30 pm. BOSA FC will play Noarlunga United under lights at 7.00 pm.
The final fixture for round one of the Australia Cup preliminary rounds sees Ghan Kilburn City and Para Hills West SC do battle, Sunday afternoon at Valo.
