2022 RAA African Nations Cup to take place at ServiceFM Stadium!

The RAA African Nations Cup returns for 2022 and will be held at the brand new $26 million ServiceFM Stadium.

This is a showcase event that is conducted in conjunction by Football SA and the African Communities Council of SA and provides an opportunity for players of African heritage to show off their talents.

The event is a major draw card for players with many players moving on to national and overseas leagues.

To facilitate the competition at ServiceFM Stadium, early Group Stage matches will be played mid-week allowing a greater opportunity for player recovery between matches before a blockbuster Saturday 5 November and Sunday 6 November of final Group Stage fixtures to see who qualifies through to the following weekends Finals.

The Grand Finalists for both men’s and women’s will have the opportunity to win the Cup on the Showcase FIFA Certified World Cup Training pitch on Sunday, 13 November which can hold up to 7,000 spectators.

Ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023, Football SA is proud to announce that it will cover the registration fee for all female players that register for the competition as part of its World Cup Legacy Plan to encourage more female players to play the game.

Team nominations are now open and close on Friday, 30 September.
