A Mammoth Day of Cup Finals at ServiceFM Stadium!

A massive celebration of South Australian football came to a close as ServiceFM Stadium played host to four thrilling Cup Finals, with fans treated to non stop action and the crowning of four deserving cup winners.

 

Apex Steel WNPL & WSL Reserves Cup Final

The day kicked off with a blockbuster showdown in the Reserves Cup Final as a top of the table clash between the leading sides of the Apex Steel WNPL and WSL competitions. In the end, it was Football SA’s WNPL Reserves who proved too strong, claiming the title with a dominant performance. Goals from Willow Woodward, Sophie Tarasenko, Ajok Mathiang, and Ava Gee secured a convincing win.

 

Reserves Federation Cup Final

Next up, RAA NPLSA Reserves heavyweights Adelaide Comets and Campbelltown City went head to head in a thrilling contest. Locked at 2-2 after full time, the Cup Final came down to penalties. In a dramatic shootout, the Adelaide Comets held their nerve to emerge victorious 4–3 from the spot.

 

Apex Steel WNPL & WSL Cup Final

Over on the main pitch, West Adelaide faced off against Football SA in the much anticipated Apex Steel WNPL & WSL Cup Final. Football SA absorbed early pressure and managed to hold off the reigning champions until half time. But it was Gemma MacFarlane who broke the deadlock before Lily Di Cola, a standout throughout the Cup, sealed the win in added time. West Adelaide go back to back and lift the Cup once again!

Federation Cup Final

The final Cup Final of the day saw powerhouse MetroStars meet 11th-placed Adelaide Croatia Raiders. MetroStars stamped their authority with quick goals from Thomas Visser and Cameron Woodfin, taking a 2–0 lead. A stunning free kick from Philimen Uwineza gave the Raiders hope, but Owen Windsor’s late goal ensured MetroStars claimed the Federation Cup, finishing 3–1 winners.

Beyond the finals, the day was packed with community spirit! The MiniRoos Football Fives Carnival brought colour and energy to the stadium, while fans had the chance to win big with the return of the “Bin It to Win It” competition, thanks to Direct Collect.

Even better, every goal scored contributed to a great cause, with Datacord raising $1,050 in support of Childhood Cancer.
