The much-anticipated fixtures for the Australia Cup 2023 Round of 32 have been confirmed, following a live draw on 10 Play Wednesday evening.
Football South Australia's RAANPLSA sides who have qualified for the Australia Cup Round of 32 learnt their fate last night during the live draw. Both sides have drawn home ties with 2023 Federation Cup Winners, MetroStars playing host to Western Australia NPL outfit, Inglewood United. Campbelltown City will face Isuzu Ute A League Competition still to be determined through the winner of the play-off match between Perth Glory and MacArthur FC. The third South Australia representative in the Round of 32, Adelaide United will take to the road and cross the border to take on Victorian NPL2 side, Northcote City FC.
Football South Australia wishes the teams the best of luck on the national stage in a competition that has always showcased the strength of South Australian football.
The draw – undertaken by three-time Australia Cup winner, Michael Jakobsen – has delivered several interesting match ups to open the final rounds, including six fixtures in which National Premier League (NPL) sides host Isuzu UTE A-League Men opposition.
Two matches will be played in northern NSW during the Round of 32, with Australia Cup mainstays, Edgeworth Eagles FC hosting last year’s finalists, Sydney 58 United FC, while Broadmeadow Magic FC will take on Isuzu UTE A-League Men outfit, Western United FC.
Headlining the Victorian contingent of the competition will be Oakleigh Cannons FC, who will take on last season’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men grand finalists, Melbourne City FC in a mouth-watering local clash.
Goulburn Valley Suns FC – plying their trade in Victoria’s NPL3 – host current NPL NSW ladder leaders, APIA Leichhardt FC in Shepparton, with Victorian NPL2 side, Northcote City SC set to face three-time Australia Cup Champions, Adelaide United FC.
Peninsula Power FC – making their fourth Australia Cup appearance – will welcome the Wellington Phoenix FC to Redcliffe, with their NPL Queensland counterparts, Moreton Bay United FC hosting three-time quarter finalists, Heidelberg United FC.
The Western Sydney Wanderers will make the trip west to meet Australia Cup debutants Floreat Athena FC, while Sydney’s Inter Lions SC will head north to Darwin to take on Hellenic Athletic Club.
With the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 running throughout July and August, the Australia Cup 2023 Round of 32 games have been scheduled on the tournament’s rest days, giving football fans and those new to the game an opportunity to attend a match of the nation’s largest knockout competition.
The Australia Cup 2023 Round of 32 will be played over two (2) weeks in August with match details to be confirmed.
It’s anticipated that venues, dates and timings for the Round of 32 will be made available by Wednesday 5 July, as Football Australia works with participating clubs and Member Federations to navigate ground availability throughout the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

As it was in 2022, the Australia Cup 2023 Playoffs will feature the four clubs that finished 9th to 12th in the Isuzu UTE A-League Men 2022/23 regular season.
Played out of Darwin Football Stadium, the winner of the Newcastle Jets FC and Melbourne Victory FC clash will take on the Brisbane Roar FC at home, while Perth Glory FC or Macarthur FC will face off with Campbeltown City FC away in Adelaide.
