The 2025 Barry Maney Premier League season launch was held on Monday 17 March at the Barry Maney Ford showrooms.
The event was attended by Mayor Lynette Martin OAM, representatives from Barry Maney Group, the Limestone Coast Football Association Board, Club Presidents, Players, Coaches and Sponsors.
Michael Carter, Football SA CEO, opened the evening, welcomed special guests and congratulated all clubs for the rapid growth of the game locally and the importance of ensuring we have facilities available to sustain this growth. Season 2025 marks the 3rd year of Football SA’s involvement in managing in the competitions in the Limestone Coast, together with the placement of a full-time development resource for the region focusing on talented player development, participation programs in schools and Futsal competitions.
Rob Baumann, General Manager, Barry Maney Group spoke of the importance of these events in strengthening the partnership between BMG, Football SA and the local clubs. Rob was pleased to be entering the third year of the partnership and continuing to grow the relationship that has been built to date.
Nathan Koopman, Football SA Regional Development Officer interviewed some of the local stars, focusing on their preseason experiences and expectations for the season ahead.
Deni Maxwell, Apollo was looking forward to continuing the momentum of last year’s successful season, while bringing new young talent into the Apollo senior women's side. And using her talent and knowledge of the game to help progress the next group of women's players.
Matthew Bueti, Inter spoke of an interrupted preseason with injury and a promising season ahead. And looking to stay motivated this year to chase more success. Matt also spoke of their recent Australia Cup match and the connection between the senior playing group and up and coming juniors within the club.
Dan Crossing, Gambier Centrals new recruit was looking forward to getting back into competitive matches after an extended period of time away from the game due to injury. Crossing has moved to the region after a lengthy playing history across NPL and State League sides and is looking forward to passing on his knowledge and experience to the younger generation within the club as well as refueling his passion for the game.

We wish all clubs the best of luck for Round 1 which kicks off on Friday with a Grand Final rematch between Centrals and Inter at MGA Park.
