Campbelltown City Soccer Club Named Club Changer Club of the Month
Campbelltown City Soccer Club has been recognised as Football South Australia’s Club Changer – Club of the Month for June, under the theme of Safeguarding.
The club has demonstrated strong leadership in fostering a safe and respectful environment, particularly for its junior players. As part of this initiative, Campbelltown City conducted mandatory meetings with each age group, requiring attendance from both players and at least one parent. These sessions focused on reinforcing expectations around respectful conduct, including appropriate behaviour at the club, and respect for referees, officials, opposition players, and spectators. Central to these discussions was the commitment to creating a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants.
Stakeholder feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The club has already observed a notable decrease in behaviour related reports and sanctions this year. Additionally, Campbelltown City has completed the Safeguarding Module as part of the Club Changer program.

Commitment to Inclusion
In line with its broader commitment to inclusivity, Campbelltown City Soccer Club has partnered with Sport4All, an initiative by Campbelltown City Council, to enhance opportunities for people with disabilities to engage with the club in various capacities. In creating these pathways, the club has worked diligently to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all participants, including members of vulnerable communities.
The club’s recent forums have also opened up valuable discussions regarding future facility upgrades, with a particular focus on improving infrastructure for female players.
