CommBank Junior Matildas head to South Australia for April Training Camp at new State Centre for Football

Football South Australia is delighted to announce the Commonwealth Bank Junior Matildas are in South Australia for a training camp this week, at the newly opened State Centre for Football located at Gepps Cross.

The Commonwealth Bank Junior Matildas are in Adelaide for a training camp from Wednesday 20 April to Tuesday 26 April and will be based at the new $24million facility. 

The squad will be one of the first national teams to enjoy the amenities at the new facility. Six South Australians have been selected including Lily Barber, Sasha Coorey, Libby Davy, Camila Madriz Figueroa, Hayley Wellington and Grace Wilson

The week will also include The RAA Gala Day, which will take place on Anzac Day, Monday 25 April 2022, which will include a Junior MiniRoos Carnival from 9.30 am-2.30 pm before a ‘Green v Gold’ Commonwealth Bank Junior Matildas internal match, kicking off at 3 pm. 

Entry is free and the day will cater for the whole family, with access to the brand new canteen facilities.

“We’re incredibly excited to have the Junior Matildas here in Adelaide to be a part of the first-ever training camp at our new facility and to give our regional players the opportunity to learn from the country's top young players. We congratulate the six NTC players that have been selected to be part of their camp.”

The Commonwealth Bank Junior Matildas camp will also be used to engage with Football SA Regional players and coaches, with participants from a Regional Training Camp having the opportunity to watch a session and have a session coached by the U17 head coach Rae Dower.

Dower will also delivered a Coaching Workshop on Tuesday evening.
