Football SA remains committed to the strategic growth of the HPG Homes State League 2 competition, with a clear vision to expand into 12-team North and 12-team South conferences. This expansion aligns with Football SA’s broader goal of providing more competitive opportunities and pathways for clubs across the state, as well as enhancing the overall standard of football in South Australia. This is further supported with the newly announced naming rights partner of the State League competitions HPG Homes.

Mark Swann, Chairperson of Elizabeth Downs SC, shared:

On behalf of the Elizabeth Downs Soccer Club I would like to express the Clubs excitement at the opportunity to represent our community in the HPG Homes State League 2 and Nova Youth Club Championship for 2026 and beyond.

With over 60 years’ experience representing grassroots football in our area, the addition of State League 2 and YCC to the Clubs football program will enable a complete football pathway and offer opportunities for players to compete and develop at the highest levels.

The Club has thrived on the back of the hard work of the committee, volunteers, coaches and players since the Clubs formation in 1962 and we will use the experience and success gained during this time to provide a strong foundation for our progression into the Football SA Competitions for 2026 and into the future.

The Club has plenty of work to do to see the club successfully launch into the HPG Homes State League 2 and YCC in 2026 but thoroughly look forward to the challenge.  Who knows maybe we'll have a small revolution into the way football is presented up North?”
