Behind every team at Adelaide Olympic Football Club is a community of people giving their time, energy and skills to help the club thrive.
With this month’s Club Changer theme focusing on Volunteers and Workforce, Olympic is highlighting the contribution of its people across its senior men’s and women’s programs, junior pathways and everyday club operations.
From coaches and team managers to kitchen staff and volunteers, each plays a role in creating a welcoming environment and keeping football running both on and off the pitch.
The club supports its workforce through collaboration, ongoing communication and opportunities to develop skills and take on leadership responsibilities. By encouraging people to grow within football, Olympic is helping build a stronger, more sustainable future.
Recognition is also central to its approach. The club understands that success extends beyond match results, with teamwork and appreciation helping ensure people feel valued for their contributions.
At the heart of this is a strong family culture that connects generations through a shared love of football.
For many families, that connection begins in MiniRoos, where children learn the game, form friendships and create lasting memories. Alongside them are parents, grandparents and siblings who support their journey, volunteer their time and become part of the wider Olympic community.
Many remain involved as their children progress through the club, strengthening the connections between its junior and senior programs.
That family involvement also extends into club operations. From the President and football leadership to coaches, team managers and a family working together in the kitchen, Olympic is supported by people who care deeply about their club.
By welcoming families, encouraging involvement and supporting its volunteers and workforce, Adelaide Olympic is creating a community where people can contribute, develop and belong.
It is an approach that recognises the people behind the game, and the lasting impact they have on every player’s experience.
