The raging success that was the weekend’s Saturday at the Summit last weekend will long be remembered as an awesome showcase of footballing talent, as well as all of the brilliant aspects of the Adelaide Hills region.
With the help of RAA, the Summit was stocked with specialty produce stands that were almost as exquisite as the football. Whether it was a cold one from Prancing Pony, a burger voucher from Carls Junior, or an illustrious hamper from Paris Creek Farms – any and all were catered for in this event, and proudly local from the Adelaide Hills region.
1500 people came throughout the day, to enjoy the Under 18's and Reserves matches as well as the Senior matches, with the peak nearing 1000 at one point.
Football South Australia would like to thank the RAA, Carl's Junior, the participating teams and the Adelaide Hills community for supporting the event.

Match Reports
Adelaide United 3-2 Cumberland
The NPL top six is unequivocally tight, with only four points separating 1st and 6th. With this in mind, United’s 3-2 win over Cumberland this weekend was vitally important to their campaign, they now sit in 5th whilst Cumby slide down to 8th.

It was Cumberland who took the first advantage, as an intelligent dummy from Briscoe saw Oakley through down the left-hand side, finishing off the move with a composed finish into the bottom right corner, 0-1. Half-time was nearing and the Foxes looked as if they would go into the sheds with the advantage, Mohamed Toure had other ideas. After a few moments of difficulty in breaking down the compact Cumberland defence, Toure launched one from outside of the box, finding the bottom right corner, 1-1.
The next breakthrough came in the 77th through United’s Jonny Yull. As everyone was setting up for a corner, Yull surprised everyone, maybe even himself, by sailing the ball into the top right corner from his own corner kick, 2-1. Nine minutes later Dukuly got on the end of a through ball and produced a spectacular finish that was matched by an equally spectacular celebration, 3-1.
Oakley then produced once again for Cumberland to make it interesting. After some exceptionally well-crafted build-up play in the final third, Oakley finessed the ball into the top right corner, on an acute angle. Unfortunately for the Foxes, this effort was not enough, with the final score being 3-2 to United.

Mount Barker 0-8 Vipers FC

Unfortunately, Mt Barker buckled under the pressure of the occasion, as Vipers stormed through them with an 8-0 drumming. Barker’s defence may as well have been standing among the cattle, as they put up no fight against the rampant Vipers attack. Torres has been in excellent form for his side recently, he kickstarted the action with a goal in the 19th. Karagiannis converted a penalty in the 35th, the first half action was rounded off by another Torres strike in the 43rd. Despite their already extensive lead, it was Vipers who came out of the gates in the second half with more intensity and desire. Georgakopoulos helped himself to a tidy hattrick and made his mark on the event, Ibrahim and Karagiannis also helped themselves to a goal. With this result Vipers climb into fourth place, finally reaping some tangible reward for their impressive form.
