Football South Australia is delighted to announce former Joeys National Team Assistant Coach, Michael Cooper as the new Technical Director.
Michael, who holds a teaching degree and Football Australia ‘A’ and UEFA ‘B’ Licences, joins Football South Australia from his previous role as Director of Sports at Central Coast Sports College.
In 2019, Michael was named Joeys National Team Assistant Coach, working under the leadership of current FA Technical Director, Trevor Morgan, which included tournaments in Thailand and Vietnam in preparation for the FIFA U-17 World Cup™.
Michael also boasts experience in the UK with professional clubs including Exeter City, Yeovil Town, Southampton FC, before a stint with A-Leagues outfit Newcastle Jets.

Michael will join Football South Australia at the new State Centre for Football in May.
