Following the Round 11 Eastern United and Adelaide Blue Eagles HPG Homes State League 1 Senior Game played on Friday 22 May 2026, Football SA received match official and club incident reports relating to disturbances that had occurred at the conclusion of the match.
Football SA conducted a thorough investigation and referred the matter to the Independent Disciplinary Committee, which was held on Wednesday 1 July 2026. Eastern United was cooperative through the process and pleaded guilty to the charges laid.

Further to the determination of the Independent Disciplinary Committee, Football SA has directed the Club to install additional temporary fencing for the existing players race, and that no further exemptions will be provided from the 2027 Season onwards.
Football SA strongly condemns the behaviour following this match which has brought the game into disrepute and risked damaging the sport’s public reputation. These penalties send a strong message that such behaviour is unacceptable in any form. We remain committed to upholding the integrity of the game and fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants.
The Club has a period of seven (7) days in which to appeal the findings of the Independent Disciplinary and Ethics Committee.
