These honours celebrate individuals whose dedication, leadership and service have made a lasting contribution to our communities, state and nation.
We are particularly proud to acknowledge three recipients with strong connections to football in South Australia:
Natasha Stott Despoja AC, recognised for eminent service to the Australian Parliament, to women, and to community leadership. Natasha proudly served as an Ambassador for Football South Australia in 2022, supporting the FIFA Women's World Cup Legacy Plan and advocating for greater opportunities for women and girls in football.
Salvatore (Sam) Ciccarello AM, recognised for significant service to sports administration and the South Australian community. Sam's decades of leadership and contribution to football have helped shape our game at both state and national level.
Carmine (Charlie) Zollo OAM, recognised for service to the community and to football. Charlie's longstanding commitment to the game and the broader South Australian community has left a lasting impact across generations.
