Football South Australia is pleased to present a draft Strategic Plan 2027-2030 to the South Australian Football Community.
The release of the draft plan follows a comprehensive stakeholder consultation process involving clubs, women and girls football representatives, associations, zone councils, regional football stakeholders, the FSA board, Executive and Management.
The consultation revealed overwhelming optimism regarding the future of football in South Australia. Stakeholders consistently recognised football as one of the state's fastest-growing sports and expressed confidence in its long-term potential. However, consultation participants also identified a significant strategic challenge. Football participation growth is outpacing the capacity of the football system to support it.
While individual stakeholder groups emphasised different priorities, the evidence consistently pointed toward the same conclusion: FSA’s future success will depend less on generating demand for football and more on strengthening the system that supports it.
The FSA Board and Executive now invite you, our wider stakeholder group, to review the key elements within the DRAFT 2027 – 2030 Strategic Plan and provide your valuable input and feedback to integrate into the final strategy.
