Football SA are pleased to announce the ‘Junior Development League’ for Junior Boy’s and Girl’s for 2023. This competition was introduced last year to provide additional development opportunities over the off-season for players and coaches.
Please see below note from Football SA’s Technical Director, Michael Cooper which highlights the benefits of this competition:
“A development league is ideal for players to gain more football experiences in a positive environment. The format has been designed to maximise touches on the ball and decision making in tight spaces against like minded players of similar development stage. FSA will work with clubs and coaches to ensure they are providing a positive development experience which is underpinned by long term youth development principles and positive youth values and ethics.”

- Draft Structures Established | From 28 August 2023
- Player & Team Official Registration | Opens 28 August 2023
- Final Structures Confirmed | From 11 September 2023
- Draft Fixtures Established | From 11 September 2023
- Final Fixtures Confirmed | From 3 October 2023
- Coaches Meeting | Saturday 14 October 2023
