Adelaide Hills ended their own run of losses by extending West Adelaide’s dismal run this weekend. 0-0 at the break, and then 1-0 to Hellas in the 48th minute through Andrea – it appeared as if the sleeping giant was finally going to awake. Alas, a three-goal blitz from Mullan, Elms and Grant put the Hawks ahead and the game beyond doubt. Hills now sit in 8th, whilst West Adelaide sit in 10th

Cobras had a red-hot crack at league leaders White City, narrowly losing out 3-2 through a 95th minute heartbreaker. White City started strong, going up 1-0 then 2-0 through Markovic and Cummins. The second half was a different story, as Cobras rallied and had a defiant two-goal turn around through Mitris and Canny in the 48th and 80th. In an ever so cruel turn of events, Markham came up clutch in the final minute and sent Cobras home with nothing.

Adelaide Victory kept Western Strikers at bay, and themselves in the top six in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Rushworth. Strikers went up in the 38th minute with a strike from Giacomelli and were able to hold off the home side up until the 93rd – as Ben Toffoli soared above the rest and headed his team home with a share of the spoils.

Jets continued their push to the top with an impressive 3-1 win over Fulham. Three second half goals from Radice, Matteo and Conant were the difference. This win sees Jets climb into 2nd on the back of Playford’s defeat, as Fulham sit in 9th – two points off relegation and five points off top six.

Playford’s impressive form hit a roadblock in Saturday’s Northern derby, losing out to Para Hills 1-0 in a tense affair. Para Hills are now amidst their own positive run of form, and now find themselves in 5th position. Playford now sit fourth and will look to get back to their best against West Adelaide.

Birkalla are still fighting for the top spots and flexed their muscles by dismantling Eastern United 5-0. Goals were spread throughout the game and Eastern never got out of first gear, whilst Birks never left fifth. The win puts Birkalla into third, while Eastern’s woes continue as they still sit in 11th

Adelaide Uni’s 3-1 win over Pontian Eagles sees Uni climb up to 2nd – equal on points with Pirates in 1st. A goal from Bowman, and a brace from Gretchko were enough to see off the Eagles, who now slide into 7th

Noarlunga v Salisbury was always going to be a hotly contested affair, the two red cards and five yellows exemplified that neither team were willing to give an inch. It was the away side who went ahead, with Kuol scoring for Salisbury in the 75th. However, it was Angove and the home supporters who had the last laugh – as he stole a point for his side in the 92nd

Vipers and Port Adelaide played out a 2-2 draw that keeps Vipers within the six, and cost Pirates their points lead at the top of the table. Wilson and Macdonald scored for the home side and Marchioro and Pepper for the away side respectively.

Gawler made it two wins in a row by overcoming Seaford 2-0 at Karbeethan. The result sees the Eagles into 4th, and Seaford still hold onto 8th position.

Modbury Vista got themselves a very well-needed win at home to Mt Barker, coming away 3-2 winners. Negus scored a brace and Miller gave Vista the necessary breathing room to withstand Mt Barker’s attempted comeback.
