Football South Australia is delighted to congratulate Maeve Nicholas on her selection in the CommBank Junior Matildas squad for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2026™ in Morocco.
Nicholas is the sole Football SA representative named in the 21-player squad and will join Australia’s most promising young footballers on the international stage.
Her selection is an outstanding achievement and a proud moment for Maeve, her family, coaches, teammates and the wider South Australian football community.
The CommBank Junior Matildas have been drawn in Group F alongside Chile, Spain and Mexico. Australia will begin its campaign against Chile before facing Spain and Mexico in its remaining group-stage fixtures.
