The HPG Homes State League 2 Championship Final is set to deliver one of the biggest nights of the South Australian football season as Northern Premiers Pontian Eagles take on Southern Premiers Vipers FC under the lights at ServiceFM Stadium on Friday 14th August.
There’s more than just silverware on the line. The winner will not only be crowned HPG Homes State League 2 Champions but will also secure promotion to the HPG Homes State League One, making Friday night's final, one of the biggest matches in both clubs' recent history.
After outstanding campaigns in their respective conferences, two of the competition's most passionate clubs now collide for the ultimate prize. Expect an electric atmosphere as the North takes on the South, with hundreds of supporters set to pack ServiceFM Stadium in a battle of the conferences.
Vipers FC have enjoyed a remarkable campaign under new Head Coach Dimitri Panagis, whose arrival at the beginning of the season has transformed the Southern Conference side into genuine title contenders. The celebrations continued last weekend as Vipers claimed the Southern Premiership while also recognising club stalwart John Papapetros for an incredible 150 games.
Standing in their way are Northern Conference winners, Pontian Eagles, who have been one of the competition's most consistent sides throughout 2026. Head Coach Omar Hassan will again look to star forward George Katsigiannis, whose 15 goal home and away campaign has made him one of the league's most dangerous attacking threats.
