Review of Senior Men’s Competition Structure Underway

Football in South Australia has seen steady growth over the past decade, particularly in junior boys’ participation. As the game continues to evolve, Football SA has commissioned an independent review of the Senior Men’s Competitions in metropolitan Adelaide to ensure alignment with this growth.

The review, led by Sports Advisory Partners Australia (SAPA), will focus a review of the Senior Men’s Competition structures and relationship in metropolitan Adelaide. The objective of the review is to ensure that competition structures maximise player transition from junior to senior football, provides a pathway for aspiring clubs and facilitates the continued growth of all senior football competitions in metropolitan Adelaide.

Key stakeholders from the RAA National Premier League, HPG Homes State Leagues 1 & 2, SAASL, and Collegiate Soccer League will be consulted, with emphasis on clubs in the top two divisions.

SAPA brings extensive experience in strategic reviews across Australian sport, including recent work with SANFL, Supercars, and AFL pathways.

A survey will soon be distributed to stakeholders as part of the review process.
