Football SA congratulates Taylor Harvey who has been selected for a Pararoos training camp
Taylor Harvey’s impressive performance representing South Australia at the Cerebral Palsy (CP) National Championships in October last year has been rewarded with selection for an upcoming Pararoos training camp in April 2020.
Football SA took a team to the CP championships in Sydney for the first time in five years and the tournament helped revive Taylor’s dream of wearing the green and gold.
"Since I started Paralympic football in 2014, my dream has always been to represent the Pararoos."
I was fortunate to be invited to my first training camp in Sydney after strong performances in my first nationals at Coffs Harbour."
Being only 17 when I first attended my first camp, I probably thought everything would take care of itself - unfortunately, if you stand still people will overtake you."
I feel being selected for the first time in five years is reward for the hard work I have put in during that time." "Having the South Australia team up and running again has played a massive role in me being selected for this upcoming camp in Canberra."
I will spend the next month working hard on my overall game at my local club, Naracoorte United."
Football SA congratulates Taylor on his selection.
