Seamus Marron Memorial Game – Heritage Round 2026

Saturday 2 May will see Ramsay Park host one of the club’s most meaningful annual traditions as part of Heritage Round.

The day begins with the Seamus Marron Memorial Game, where past players from Playford and Para Hills reunite to compete for the Memorial Shield, honouring the late Seamus Marron.

Following the memorial fixture, attention shifts to the First Team clash as Playford takes on Para Hills Knights in a Heritage Round showdown at home.

Across the day, the focus extends beyond football, bringing together community, history, and a shared commitment to mental health awareness.

"Heritage Round is a chance to remember our beginnings and celebrate how we have grown over the last 70 years.

Our Heritage strips for 2026 are inspired by the 1985 team, featuring current Board Member Andrew Knowles, Technical Director Micky Doyle, and a host of local legends who helped shape our club. We have proudly named our annual Legend’s game ‘The Seamus Marron Memorial Game’ - a tribute to the late Seamus Marron. It's an opportunity to honour his legacy as a father, friend, and past player and help raise awareness around men’s mental health."

Cause & Donation

This year, the Memorial Game proudly supports The Better Bloke Project, an organisation dedicated to improving the mental and physical wellbeing of Aussie men.

Donations can be made on the day via collection boxes, with a raffle also taking place.

All contributions help raise awareness and support programs making a meaningful difference in the community.
