In the heart of an intense competition at the 2023 Girls' National Youth Championship, South Australia's U14 and U16 teams emerged displaying remarkable performances and unwavering determination.
Our U16 squad showcased exceptional talent, storming through the initial phase undefeated and securing the top spot. Their journey extended to the semifinals, a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Cristiano dos Santos, our Girls' Player Development Lead, commended the team's commitment, stating,
"Their consistent training commitment is paying off. What's inspiring is that they're not just putting in the effort, they're loving every moment of this journey. It's a fantastic chance for them to gain experience and grow as athletes."

The U14 team also demonstrated outstanding skills, competing closely with teams from other states. Coach Marcus de Luca expressed,
"It has been a great test to see how our girls match up against the other states. They have gained valuable experience from this tournament and have cherished every moment of it."

Participating in such high-stakes competitions is pivotal for the development and growth of our young athletes. These experiences not only hone their skills but also nurture their passion for the sport, preparing them for future challenges and successes.
FSA extends our gratitude to our dedicated coaching staff, athletes, and supportive parents during the National Youth Championship.
