Football SA is deeply saddened by the passing of Tony La Scala, a lifelong servant of football and futsal in South Australia.
Tony’s passion for the game was unmatched. He coached South Australia’s first Open Men’s Futsal team to a national semi-final, led youth teams to three national championships, and spent over two decades helping build a strong futsal community as Vice President and Competition Manager of Futsal SA. As a commentator on Radio Italiana and through live streaming, Tony’s voice became a familiar and beloved part of the local football landscape.
