Last week, Football South Australia welcomed representatives from Wakefield Sports and Exercise Medicine Clinic (WSEMC) to VALO Football Centre, to present to players participating within the Girls Development Pathway Programs.
WSEMC dietician Georgia Bevan and podiatrist Stephanie Howard, were warmly welcomed by 75 players and coaching staff, providing a unique insight into how they can best prepare and manage their experience as young elite athletes.
As an accredited sports dietitian, Georgia has spent time working with clients managing chronic disease, eating disorders and performance nutrition. An elite athlete in her own right playing in the AFLW and SANFLW, Georgia’s journey resonated well with the playing group.

Stephanie, who recently joined the team at WSEMC has extensive experience in sports podiatry and biomechanics. Having worked closely with athletes across a variety of sporting codes and with a strong focus on strength and conditioning, she provided players with valuable advice and exercises to support their performance.

Football South Australia thanks WSEMC, Georgia and Stephanie for their support.
