The Assistant Venue Manager supports the Venue Manager in the day-to-day operation of Football South Australia's managed venues, ensuring the successful delivery of football competitions, venue hire, commercial functions, community events and hospitality services.
This role is responsible for leading daily venue operations, supervising operational staff, coordinating Football 5's competitions, and ensuring facilities are presented to the highest standard. Acting as the Venue Manager's deputy, the Assistant Venue Manager provides operational leadership in the Venue Manager's absence and contributes to the continued growth and success of Football SA's venue operations.

Key Selection Criteria:
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in venue, stadium, facilities, sport or event operations.
- Experience leading or supervising staff.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Working with Children Check.
- Safeguarding Children & Young People Induction (SIA),
- First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain).
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or ability to obtain).
- Responsible Service of Alcohol.
- Responsible Person Badge (or ability to obtain).
Preferred
- Experience in sporting venues.
- Event management experience.
- Hospitality or venue hire experience.
- Knowledge of football competitions.
- Experience using booking or venue management systems.
